GRANDPARENT MEMORIAL PAGE

Mitochondrial disease is an all-encompassing disease. It not only affects the patient but his or her entire family.

Grandparents often play an unparalleled role in the day to day care of a sick child while also providing ongoing financial support that is crucial to their family. The overwhelming sacrifices they make for their beloved grandchild (ren) is a true labor of love!

That is why MITO HOPE and HELP wants to acknowledge their selfless actions.

This memorial page honors our beloved grandparents who have gone before us. Those who have given so much so that their loved ones could have the best care and quality of life possible.

You can honor these MITO families and their loved ones by sending your donation to MITO HOPE and HELP at 33 Milton Street, Warrensburg, NY 12885

DOHERTY FAMILY TRIBUTE

Colleen, Mary Grace, Erin and Andrew Doherty, grandchildren of

Richard Doherty

The Doherty Family is part of our MITO Community.

Matt and Mary Doherty's three youngest children, Colleen, Andrew and Mary Grace, are all living with Mitochondrial disease.

In children, Mitochondrial disease is more common than cancer and muscular dystrophy combined.

Despite this, very few people know about Mitochondrial disease: a chronic, progressive, metabolic disorder with no cure. This disease affects the entire family. When multiple family members are affected, the impact is compounded and often devastating!

Currently, the availability of appropriate, adequate, medical care and support services is very limited.

The love and support we receive from our family and friends makes a world of difference when battling a disease like MITO!

MITO HOPE and HELP, on behalf of our entire MITO Community of Northeastern NY, would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the Doherty Family.

We sincerely appreciate your donations made in Richard's memory to MITO HOPE and HELP, which will benefit our local MITO Community.

In Loving Memory of Richard Doherty
